The exterior is outstanding, with only a few minor blemishes, inevitable for a car of this age. The MGF's leather seats and dash give the interior a comfortable and well-finished feel. The leather-trimmed dashboard adds a touch of style without being over the top. Under the bonnet, in the boot, and across the underside, the car is solid and corrosion-free. On the road, she is an absolute joy to drive, the engine runs smoothly and the gearbox shifts precisely and effortlessly, making for a relaxed and enjoyable drive. Mechanically, she has wanted for nothing in recent years, with her meticulous owner ensuring regular servicing. A new stainless steel exhaust has been fitted, the underfloor coolant pipes have been replaced, along with the head gasket, timing belt, and water pump, meaning she’s been well cared for and is ready to be enjoyed. She comes with an extensive history file including the original sales brochure, ,invoices from the most recent owner, showing thousands spent, along with a handwritten notebook detailing the work carried out. The first all-new MG for 32 years, the MGF was launched to critical acclaim at the 1995 Geneva Motor Show. Initial attention naturally focused upon the mouth-watering technical specifications of this land mark car for MG: the Hydragas suspension, exotic electric assisted power steering, mid-engine configuration and the award winning K-series engine that had been extended to 1.8 litres for this application. The styling of the car was judged a successful blend of old and new- with design cues harking back to the last of the MGBs, but with a stance that was uncompromisingly modern and forward looking. The description of the car reflects my personal opinion based on my experience, and time with the car. However, opinions are subjective, and what I find acceptable may differ from your perspective. If you're considering purchasing the car, I strongly encourage you to examine and test it in person to ensure it meets your expectations and suits your needs.
