The exterior is in very good condition, with only a few minor blemishes, inevitable for a car of this age. The contrasting red and white paintwork is bright and shiny and a delight to look at. Under the bonnet, in the boot, and across the underside, this car is solid, corrosion free, and structurally sound, a rare find in this condition. Out on the road, she performs beautifully, with a smooth engine, and a gearbox that operates effortlessly, making every drive a pleasure. The Triumph Herald was introduced in 1959 by the Standard-Triumph Company as a stylish and practical small car. Designed by Giovanni Michelotti, it featured a separate chassis, allowing for easy body modifications and repairs. Available in saloon, convertible, coupe, estate, and van versions, it was known for its tight turning circle and excellent visibility. Powered initially by a 948cc engine, later models saw upgrades to 1, 147cc and 1, 296cc units for improved performance. The Herald 13/ 60, launched in 1967, was the final and most refined version. Production ended in 1971, with over 500, 000 units built. Today, the Herald remains a beloved classic due to its charm, simplicity, and ease of maintenance. The description of the car reflects my personal opinion based on my experience, and time with the car. However, opinions are subjective, and what I find acceptable may differ from your perspective. Please dont compare her to a modern car, she's 62 years old, built to the engineering and design standards of her time. Like any classic car, there will always be room for improvement and jobs that need attention. It is also inevitable classic cars will require ongoing attention, maintenance, and improvements. If considering purchasing the car, I strongly encourage you to examine and test it in person to ensure it meets your expectations and suits your needs. This will give you the opportunity to fully appreciate its condition and assess whether it's the right car for you. DELIVERY - Help with delivery anywhere in the UK or Ireland.
